We are focusing on getting people involved in the first event who are already aware of how data on the Internet can be used in diverse applications, and have perhaps already used, designed or developed mashups and visualisations. However, many professionals working in technology field are not aware of the emerging possibilities of open data, and how they can use their existing tools and knowledge to create applications with far-reaching implications for their community.
